About me
Magdalena (Magda) Galloway is an Associate Professor of Instruction at the University of Northern Iowa’s College of Education. Driven by a passion for preparing future teachers, her work focuses heavily on instructional design, digital citizenship, media literacy, and Universal Design for Learning (UDL).She supports both students and faculty in integrating computer science elements, computational thinking, and generative AI into their teaching practices, aiming to align these efforts with the Profile of an AI Ready Graduate. Additionally, Magdalena is involved with The Alliance for Innovation in Teacher Education, helping the College of Education uphold its commitment to preparing the next generation of educators for an evolving digital world.Outside the classroom, she mentors FIRST Lego League teams and judges FIRST Robotics Competitions. A Google Certified Educator, Magdalena is a proud recipient of the 2021-2022 UNI College of Education Faculty Award for Teaching.
