Tier 1 Student Opportunities through Invention Education—Access for Any and All Students
Monday October 12, 2026 8:30am - 9:20am CDT
Over 2,500 students across 43 Iowa schools are already engaged in invention education. Experience the invention process firsthand in this interactive, hands-on workshop where you'll become an inventor and discover how easy it is to integrate innovation into any grade, any subject. You'll leave with free, ready-to-use curriculum tailored to the grade you teach, practical strategies to launch student invention projects, and tools to help students participate in the Iowa Invention Convention.

Through invention education, students develop the skills that are often the hardest to teach—confidence, creativity, resilience, problem-solving, and real-world application. Join a growing network of educators bringing invention to life in their classrooms, and leave with the resources, support, and inspiration to do the same.

Digital accessibility for students who use assistive technology is essential for ensuring inclusive digital learning environments. The Quality Indicators for the Provision & Use of Accessible Digital Educational Materials guide teams through a systemic process of continuous improvement. Aligned with the ADA Title II regulation for accessible web content and mobile apps, these indicators help districts plan, implement, and evaluate coordinated systems for accessible digital educational materials and technologies. Explore critical components, practical actions, and adaptable resources to strengthen digital accessibility culture, foster collaboration, and drive immediate improvements. Continue learning with NCADEMI's virtual Professional Learning Group, a free technical assistance offering for teams implementing the Quality Indicators.
